We have a new role for a Games Economy Director to join our company as our first games economy specialist. Essential to the success of our titles, this person will work closely with our product teams and will design the economy of our existing and future games.

An opportunity to design the economy for top grossing apps and to establish a game economy department within PM. This person will be an essential part of our business's success.

Key responsibilities

  • You have a passion for quantitative analysis and will have the ability to draw business insights which will add real value to Product Madness.
  • Able to create economies that drive increased revenue and offer the right mix of challenge and retention.
  • Understand the best elasticities of demand, making a balanced economy that satisfies players and drives growth.
  • Working collaboratively with our Product and Data Science teams, define our games economy and drive change within our new feature pipeline.
  • Set the pricing of all purchasables and collectibles.
  • Alter and adjust in-game currency to best suit the in-game economy.
  • Build both the micro and macro economy models.
  • Explore micro segmentation for the player and recommend new and useful better segments to use for our features.
  • Build and run simulations and predictive models to forecast ahead the results of changes to content.

Requirements
  • Experience managing games economy on top grossing F2P or social casino titles in a senior level position.
  • Managed teams of games economy analysts.
  • Analytical coding: Using tools such as Python, R, Matlab (and sometimes Excel) for analytical purposes.
  • A good working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong understanding of Numerical Simulation methods (Monte Carlo, Metropolis-Hastings and so on).
  • Knowledge in the mobile games industry or similarly sophisticated customer-facing digital businesses.
  • Robust understanding of more advanced statistical techniques suitable for analysis of highly skewed populations.
  • Experience in predictive analytics, segmentation, and related areas; experience in experimental design.
  • Skills with standard reporting tools such as QlikView/Tableau/etc.
