A great opportunity to join our growing and stable studio in the vibrant heart of Liverpool city centre.  Firesprite was founded by the team behind Sony’s Liverpool studio, best known for making the Wipeout games, and has gone on to create an envious portfolio of titles across many different genres.

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join our team on an incredibly exciting project.  It’s a great opportunity to be involved in a massive, globally recognised franchise.  As the QA Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing quality and consistency of the project deliverables.

  • Running functional, performance, usability and compliance tests for UK and International gaming products, and for updates to the platform software
  • Finding and reporting issues on game software being tested in a clear and accurate manner
  • Creating and updating test cases or suggesting new cases when relevant to do so
  • Highlighting improvements to our testing and work processes
  • Providing support to Firesprite as required
  • Accurately planning your work
  • To be a ‘safe pair of hands’ that your Dev Manager can rely on and the team will respect
  • Testing of games or gaming products.
  • Running functional, usability and performance tests on different projects.
  • Updating test scripts and plans, with additional test cases, or creating them from scratch.
  • Bug tracking software, and reporting issues in a clear manner.
  • Problem solving/analytical skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on your own with minimum supervision.
  • Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly (product functionality and test tools)
  • Good knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Hansoft/Jira etc)
  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
