Quantum Works is looking for an experienced Concept Artist to work closely with the Art Director to help build and develop a brand new sci-fi IP.

We are looking for someone that can manage their time efficiently, be confident with taking a loose idea and fleshing it out, but also be able to contribute their own ideas towards the artistic vision.

Ideally the candidate should have some experience in designing characters, environments, and weapons, and should be confident working in both 2D and 3D.

This is an exciting opportunity where the artist will be influential in all areas of the game’s visuals from the ground up.

Quantum Works is a start-up studio with an open and progressive methodology and is dedicated to delivering games of the highest quality experience in playability.


  • Produce key concept art that will inspire the Art team and drive discussion
  • Iterate ideas quickly through sketches and thumbnails
  • Troubleshoot with the wider Art team by providing more technical concept drawings and paintovers where necessary
  • Work closely with the Art Director in establishing a consistent visual style and be involved in all areas of the art production (Environment, Character, graphics etc.);
  • Collaborate effectively with the core team to confirm task direction and consistency, incorporating regular feedback from the Art Director and Art Leads
  • Support the art team in any related ad hoc tasks


  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Strong in both 2D and 3D skills
  • Be confident in contributing their own ideas to the creative process
  • Experience in designing characters, weapons, and environments.
  • Excellent understanding of art fundamentals including value, perspective, colour theory, and composition
  • Good observation and research skills
  • Understand production pipelines and workflows in the gaming industry
