Sucker Punch is looking for a Camera Designer to take the player on an immersive, thrilling experience. You get to work with game cameras in the realms of design, implementation and tuning. World class artists and designers await your creative view on solutions to make our world more dynamically alive!

Responsibilities:

  • Build custom cameras to support specific story beats
  • Partner with mission designers to ensure scripted cameras support unforgettable moments
  • Support a dynamic camera system through scripting camera behavior
  • Work with game play designers to create visually arresting experiences
  • Collaborate with programmers to create new tools and debug cameras


Qualifications:

  • Requires at least 5 years’ experience in 3rd person games and at least 1 shipped AAA title
  • Ability to work collaboratively and succeed in a diverse work environment
  • Self-motivated team player who proactively seeks feedback and communication
  • Understanding of high level systemic and mission design
  • Strong grasp of basic principles of camera operation and animation
  • Ability to perform low level game scripting tasks
  • Solid sense of aesthetic flow between hands on and hands off moments in game
  • Ready to ramp up quickly and deliver assets using our custom toolsets in propriety engine

 
Bonuses:

  • Proficiency in animating cameras for in-game cut scenes
  • Working knowledge of how to code camera behavior
