A little bit about the city: Newcastle

Known as the “15-minute city” if you’re looking for somewhere that you can get around on foot, Newcastle is your place! Although it is small enough to walk around, it is still large enough to be a vibrant and exciting place, which makes it popular with students. The city prides itself on being multicultural, with its own Chinatown that hosts Chinese New Year festivities as well as the annual Newcastle Mela, there are also two universities: Newcastle and Northumbria that both bring a wealth of students from around the world. Newcastle is also home to an extensive metro system (much like the London Underground), which is known to be one of the best ways to get around, other than by walking!
