Build Engineer in Cambridge

This established Cambridge Studio is looking for a skilled Build Engineer to work along side their Game and Tech teams in driving forward the way that games and tools are tested. This is a great opportunity for someone who is innovative and can improve the current automated testing and build procedures, to support new projects.

Build Engineer responsibilities:

Ensure that functioning, recent builds of our games get to those that need them and broken builds don’t slow development progress

Create new automated tests as part of the continuous integration system and maintaining current tests to ensure they remain relevant

Ensuring the build process is as fast and hassle free as possible for all members of our teams

Improve the build process where possible by creating and packaging a build as well as project specific paths such as data export and validation

Key requirements for this role in Cambridge:

Experience with continuous integration systems such as Buildbot, Jenkins CruiseControl

Experience with large codebases across multiple platforms

Knowledge of version control systems (preferably SVN)

Recent experience with scripting languages

Experience with tools chains such

Knowledge of build systems such as Jam, NMake or CMake
