Description

We are looking for a hands on HR Manager specialising in Learning and Development. You will be managing two junior HR professionals and reporting to the Head of HR. The perfect candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in HR Management, experience of working within Games or a creative environment and be CIPD qualified, ideally to at least Level 5. This role is predominantly office based as a people facing role, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

This role requires an individual used to working in a fast growing and fast paced environment where changes happen quickly. Emotional intelligence will be a key attribute as we put our employees at the heart of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and mentor the team, including setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on all People matters across the entire generalist remit.
  • Proactively identify People needs and develop strategies to address them, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and deliver training programs that promote employee development and enhance organisational capabilities.
  • Support Managers with performance management and other strategic projects as and when required.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Deliver HR projects and initiatives that support business objectives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Identify training needs and develop and deliver training programs to meet the needs of the wider team.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly HR data reports to various studios, including metrics on staffing, turnover, performance, and other key HR indicators.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including resolving conflicts and providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Contribute to our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and support our Employee Resource Groups.


Requirements

Who Are We Looking For?

Essential capabilities
  • Enthusiasm, a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to work on what is most important
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR Management
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations issues
  • Strong knowledge of performance management and training and development practices
  • Experience managing a small team and setting objectives
  • CIPD qualified, ideally to at least Level 5

The role is based out of our HQ in Farnborough and will be predominantly office based.

The salary range for this role is £45,000 - £55,000.
